“Flow my tears”: 17th century English chamber music
On November 26, at 19:00, the Komitas Chamber Music Hall will host a concert titled “Flow my tears”. It will feature 17th century English chamber music.
In the program:
- Orlando Gibbons (1583-1625): Pavan in G (organ)
- William Lawes (1602-1645): Sonata Nr.1 in g for violin, bass viol and organ (Fantasia - Air (Alman) – Galliard)
- Henry Purcell (1659-1695): Fantasia 10 in c for 4 viols (1680)
- Henry Purcell: Sonata Nr.1 in g of III parts for two violins and bass (1683)
- Orlando Gibbons: Fantasia in g(organ)
- Matthew Locke (1610-1677): Suite 1 in d for 4 viols (Fantazie - Courante - Sarabande)
- Thomas Tomkins (1572-1656): A Fancy for two to play (harpsichord)
- Nicholas Carlton (1570-1630): A Verse for two to play on one Virginal(harpsichord)
- William Lawes: Sonata Nr.7 in d for two violins, bass viol and organ (Fantasia - Air (Alman) - Air (Galliard))
