F1 race cars are high performance, aerodynamic wonders of advanced technology and specialized engineering that typically cost between $10 million to $20 million USD each with average speeds of 210-220 mph. Drivers on the track are much like fighter pilots, battling the extreme g-force generated by the aerodynamic front and back wings of the cars, which allow for high cornering speeds. F1 is a team event and there's a point system for the drivers and for the team (car constructor). The popularity of Formula One has experienced a big jump in recent years thanks in part to a Netflix show called Formula 1: Drive to Survive that began airing in 2019. But no show or televised race can begin to compare to the sheer exhilaration and excitement of watching a Grand Prix live.
