Biography
Narek Duryan is an Armenian actor, stage director, playwright, and theatre organizer. He has been associated with Hrachya Ghaplanyan Drama Theatre in Yerevan, where he worked both as a performer and as a director. Duryan is particularly noted for chamber productions and one-man theatre formats, combining acting with authorial writing and staging. Among the works linked to his name are “My Wife’s Name Is Maurice” and “Astrology of Love,” productions that were presented not only in Armenia but also for Armenian diaspora audiences. His career has also included activity in the Armenian theatrical community of New York, where he was involved in directing and organizational work.
