Biography

Forsh is the stage name of Armenian singer Vladimir Poghosyan. He became known in Armenia for a performance style that combines pop, folk and reggae-influenced elements with Armenian musical motifs. Among the songs most closely associated with him are “Hayastan” and “Yarkhushta,” both widely cited as signature works in his repertoire. A notable part of his output is built on reinterpretations of Armenian traditional themes in a contemporary format. Forsh has appeared at large public concerts and cultural events in Armenia and abroad, performing Armenian popular music for broad audiences.
