Created at the initiative of Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, the ballet “Tamar” will be presented at the Armenian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet.
The performance is a contemporary reinterpretation of the legend of Akhtamar.
The ballet unfolds in the present day and tells the story of Aram, a photojournalist, and Tamar, an artist. Their meeting sets a new course for a story rooted in the past, exploring themes of love, choice, memory, and irreversible loss.
The past becomes reality.
And reality becomes destiny.
